    Hi Bonnie!
I have not paid as much attention to Moodie stuff last few years. I used to see them so often! I have to go through the ticket stubs one day. I saw it was 17 years since coach house and house of blues. I was way to drunk at house of blues and got to talk to marrie, I must have sounded like a drunken fool!  Since then I Basically quit drinking, got skinny and now she may not recognize me!  Right!  I doubt it. I did biz with them doing the DTS cds, and I could not hide unless it was a Viking convention.
They usually do Eugene if they can hit it in summer, not a great indoor venue for them inside. They used to do the Hult Center which is this wonderful theater, but only 2500 seats. Hard to get them to work for a tiny paycheck, cause that is what may be needed here, the economy is still in the tank, and aint moving. And with a small venue the ticket prices are too much. Alan Parsons is a buddy, and I put him in the Hult with the Eugene Symphony, and only sold a 1000 tics at 35 bucks. And that was in 2006 when things were still swell! And in Portland it is an old beautiful theater they usually play, but it is rather claustrophobic and too many times there. So lets see what they do, but they have few options out here in NW, and they have good relationships with the promoters they work with here in the NW.
In fact I decided time to sell off all the stuff. I had so much crap, I have been selling off t shirts and all kinds of pins and records and promo cds and and and. Getting ready to do shows. Did you ever hear the Whiskey show, mid 90s? I could send ya a copy. And I have been doing the lp westwood one shows. Justin used to do a solo for a long while during story, it was so much better than the short version now.
I have a buddy who has been working trying to get a fellow in Austin to redo a venue there, turn it into surround sound. I have built these wall systems to change audio characteristics, and we may get a chance to do it there. This guy can be flakey, but we will see.
    Love to you!  Tad Bartel

    Hi Bonnie,

As you can tell, I rarely get into TER, MBA, or any other Moody Blues forums very often.  Life's current has pulled me away from this form of communication.  I pretty much stick to e-mail and even (gasp) LETTERS!

I'm more often than not, working in my recording studio, or digitizing Bible literature, photographs, glass slides, phonograph records (pre-1925 mostly - Discs and Cylinders) and a lot of other "old stuff".  I've pretty much divorced myself from the current music scene.  Nothing worth listening to.  The Moodies seem to have stopped new song production and apparently are preparing to retire.  They deserve it.  I know, Justin has said he will keep playing (solo) as long as someone will listen, but even he probably won't be able to fill an arena when he's 70+.

I have the "Core 7" CDs and "Blue Jays" in my car and I continue to enjoy them immensely.  Thanks to the SACD "5.1" recordings, I made new stereo mixes of all of the Core 7 albums (Except ISotLC, which was never released in 5.1) from these 5.1 tracks.  Some songs are much longer than the stereo mixes that came out of Decca.

If you want to respond, it is best that you write me at my regular e-m,ail address:  [email protected]

    Best regards,
    Brian Kutscher

Hey there Bonnie!  I'll post more, promise...Right now I'm getting ready to leave for a week to visit someone face to face for the 1st time to see if there is a 'spark' there.  We've known each other for 2 years as just friends, but  recently it has bloomed into possibly 'more'.  I'll never know unless I go.  He's 10 years younger...He can't come here due to work, so it's a perfect excuse for ME to get away for the first time in years, even if it's only northern Indiana (lol!).  I'm a little nervous, & putting everything in order to leave - that's why I haven't posted much.  I'll fill you in on how things go when I get back. Wish me well, k?  Thanks!  Love U ~ Zeetz
